The first foreign language is always the hardest , especially if you are going to study Italian beacuse this one has some very unique grammatical structures that make getting started with it a little difficult (such as all the different definite articles – il, le, i, gli, la – and all their combinations with prepositions – della, degli, alle, ai, etc.)
There are so many variables when you are going to learn italian such as:
- Intensive italian study is reccomanded especially at the beginning in order to quickly leave the textbook stage behind and reach a level where “study” becomes self-motivating and fun
- The more weeks and months you spend on a language, the more motivation you need in order not to quit.
Learning Italian in Italy gives yoou the opportunity to speak it with native people, either in one-to-one conversations or, even better, amoung of a group of acquaintances or friends.
As you know, many of Italian cities are great location regarding the quality of the language or peculiarity of the accent.
The best and more correct Italian is spoken in the big towns of the North. Maybe the accent is not so nice and their Italian can sound a little artificial, this is an area where people speak a 99% pure Italian.
Milan is also a spectacular location for culture, architecture, fashion, economy and entertainment.
